What probably drew me to Pedro's collages is the hand-drawn type (which I am really into lately!), but what kept me is the randomness of images, placement, and statements (home is not where you live!). I guess that's what collage is all about though, isn't it?

Q: Describe your work in 10 words or less.
A: My work is all about collage, music and typography. And music.

Q: What do you like to work with (magazines, photographs, vintage)? Be specific!
A: Everything can be a good source of reference. I like to search for really old magazines, photographs, street posters, general street culture (like letterings, interventions, stencils etc) and vernacular typography.

Q: How long have you been creating collages and what made you start?
A: I've been doing collages since 2005, I guess. I've always been a great fan of David Carson and his work with typography and untraditional layouts made me start doing handmade stuff, because since you do everything by hand, once you put it on the paper you can't go back, so it's a great visual exercise.

Q: Are you solely an artist, or do you work in another profession?
A: I'm a graduated designer, so I work regularly with graphic and web design, often as a sound designer too (which is my real passion). Collages and letterings are my way to express myself.
