Sonia is the first collage artist interviewed that works solely on the computer; and since a lot of us are graphic designers I would like to cover both kinds of artists. Her digital collage is beautiful, particularly the ones with bright spots of colour and backgrounds full of blank space.

Q: Describe your work in 10 words or less.
A: You can't say aloud what's bothering you? Make a wallpaper.
Q: What do you like to work with (magazines, photographs, vintage)? Be specific!
A: Photographs.
Q: How long have you been creating collages and what made you start?
A: Almost two years. In July I always loved having something interesting on my desktop and also always wanted to be part of this great artistic world, to make other people's desktops beautiful. One day, by accident, I found a tutorial and decided to give it a try. Well... that's how it all started.

Q: Are you solely an artist, or do you work in another profession?
A: I'm still in high school, Photoshop is just my passion. But still, making art is the best thing that has happened to me in my life.
A: No. But I'm thinking of studying art in the future.
Q: Explain your favourite techniques.
A: Depends on my mood. An ispirating quote or image is my base. Then I let my imagination work. No technique in particular.

Q: Describe your favourite piece ever created.
A: Every each of them was made with love, but if I had to choose, I guess my favourite would be poco a poco se pierde, because it shows the effect of how music can work on me.
Q: What other artists do you admire?
A: You guys are all great, but the most important to me are: Loleia, because her works were my first inspiration, Nadine and Makani. And, I believe, many many more to come:)
Thanks Sonia!
