Annie has already accumulated an amazing volume of work in 5 years, and you can tell she is very attached to her artwork. She uses so many techniques, so many different materials, it's surprising that you can still categorize her work in just one style. Still, her work is easily identifiable as her own.
Name (Real or Screename): Annie, curbsidetreasure
URL (Blog, Website): http://curbsidetreasure.etsy.com/, http://curbside-treasure.blogspot.com/
Location (Where are you from?): San Francisco, USA
Q: Describe your work in 10 words or less.
A: I make mixed media collage: paper and paint in layers and layers.
Q: What do you like to work with (magazines, photographs, vintage)? Be specific!
A: I use whatever I can find, vintage ledger papers, old tickets, maps, catalogues and magazines, if its paper and it appeals to me visually I will cut it up and and change it for my art.

Q: How long have you been creating collages and what made you start?
A: I've been creating collages for 5 years now, I started making them when I was in high school. It all started with collaging my journal covers and then started to fill the pages with collages and writing.
Q: Are you solely an artist, or do you work in another profession?
A: I'm a full time college student right now so I'm not solely an artist.
A: I am pretty much self taught. I am taking my first formal art class this semester in school though.
Q: Explain your favourite techniques.
A: My favorite techniques are to start with the background with a light wash of acrylics—my journal page backgrounds are acrylics that have been watered down for a sheer look. However, the collages I make are ones that I am never exactly sure what the end result will look like.

Q: Describe your favourite piece ever created.
A: My favorite piece is watching the world outside and it's a monochromatic green piece. I just like how soft and dreamy the green looks.
Q: What other artists do you admire?
A: Joseph Cornell, Robert Rauschenberg, Nick Bantock, Lu Summers, Louise Robinson, the ladies of PodPost, and so many more!
Thanks Annie!

I like when collages involve digits. "watching..." is a nice one as well, as it involves both green and digits (two of my favourite things).
