Finally got over my mental block and finished my collages for the a - z project (a group project involving 26 adjectives for 26 graphic design styles).

Yesterday I made some great stationery for a christmas gift. I almost want to keep it for myself its so nice. I bought gray envelopes with light blue note cards and a silver stamp pad, hoping to find a nice and affordable stamp to stamp them with. After trying to stamp just about everything in my house (pencil erasers, leaves) I found these stickers I bought a long time ago that I planned to use for.. something. They are like a thick foil and they're embossed, in the shape of elaborate little picture frames. I used these to stamp little frames on the note cards, and on the envelopes (to frame where the stamp will go).

I never thought I would be so relieved for school to be over with! I was so excited to start this program, but by the end of it I was even more excited to have a break. It wasn't everything I expected, to be honest. I expected more than just the basics, and I found myself more often than not, bored. I don't like being bored. I did well enough in the end, though I am sure I could have done better. I aced pretty much all of my exams, and I could have worked harder on the projects that I had no interest in.
Anyway, we went out on Friday (my birthday) to dinner, at the usual Thai basil on Bloor (mmm!). Then, we lazily went to Queen video instead of an actual movie theatre. We rented Tideland, which we had heard about and trusted because it was directed by Terry Gilliam. I am not even going to start, about this movie. It's really strange, I can't even tell you if it was a good movie or not. I'm not sure...
